About

Over the past several years, we have seen “culture wars'' being brought to our schools through the banning of books; censoring of educators; attacks on LGBTQ+ students; and villainization of equity and inclusion advocates. We understand that today’s “culture wars'' are a continuation of a multi-decade strategy by extremists to divide our communities and dismantle public goods that we all share, like public education.

More than just a movement

Initially borne from the attacks on Critical Race Theory (CRT), HEAL (Honest Education Action & Leadership) Together is a movement of students, parents, educators, and school board members in school districts across the United States who believe that an honest, equitable, and fully funded public education is the foundation for a just, multiracial democracy.

HEAL Together provides tools and resources for people to advocate for the public schools our children deserve—schools that reflect the best of who we are and who we can be.

our children are free to be who they are and free to learn the truth of our history so that together, they can shape a better future.
More than just a movement child
