Race Forward is a qualified recipient of grants from DAFs held at community organizations or financial institutions. You will receive an acknowledgment for your grant, but Race Forward must provide a receipt to the institution where your DAF is held. If your fund is anonymous, please contact our office at [email protected]to inform us of your gift. We respect your wish to remain anonymous, but would like the opportunity to share our gratitude, ensure that your gift is used as intended, and keep you informed about our progress.
Each year, donors aged 70½ years or more may transfer a gift of up to $100,000 ($200,000 total for a couple with separate IRAs) directly from their qualifying IRA account. These distributions may count towards a donor’s required minimum distribution and will be excluded from the donor’s taxable income, however the IRS does not allow these gifts to also qualify as charitable income tax deductions. To initiate your charitable IRA Rollover Gift, contact your IRA administrator to learn if your IRA qualifies. If you make this type of contribution, please let us know about your gift at [email protected], as doing so allows us the opportunity to receipt your gift accordingly and ensures that your gift will be used exactly as you intend.
As you make your Estate and Bequest Plans, you have an opportunity to participate in the redistribution of wealth and take direct action against hundreds of years of wealth inequity. Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss supporting our work through beneficiary designations, wills, trusts, and estate plans.
To do so, please email us at [email protected] for details and instructions.
Institutional Philanthropy
Early investments in Race Forward’s work by national, regional, and local philanthropy helped create the conditions for our programmatic success, leading to true impact in the lives of people of color. These partnerships continue to be a critical component to building resiliency within our organization and across the larger racial equity field. They have also resulted in some of our most strategic, innovative approaches to catalyzing racial equity.
